Where is Away?
Ilustrations
(Yet to be published) I wrote and Illustrated Where is Away spring of 2012. The book follows the main character Alex’s journey to understanding the reality of throwing something away. The book highlights the importance of imagination in critical thinking. Alex's face and gender are never reviled in the book, whith the hope that the reader could more easily imagine themselves as Alex. The illustrations are intaglio monoprint etchings with watercolor. P.S. the ducky's name is Erin.
I am currently working on several other children's books. Primarily, one about threateend and endagered species that have "recovered"! Some of the Species (and stencils that will be used to create the illustrations) in my book can be seen here: (Seeking a publisher)
